Mission
Un Mar De Colores’ mission is to bridge socio-economic gaps, increase coastal access, and encourage personal exploration and expression.
This is done through youth programs and community initiatives that allow their students to nurture confidence, connection to community
Vision
Un Mar De Colores envisions an equitable coastal community where society is interconnected by the ocean, regardless of social stratification and individual differences.
Community Programs
Surfista Scholarships
Program for BIPOC, and underrepresented kids, teens, and adults who are looking to expand their opportunities in the surfing industry
Generación SEA
Academy dedicated to empowering young leaders in Cali-Baja through hands-on learning and meaningful action in climate resilience.
One Ocean
Annual scholarship program aimed at encouraging environmental awareness, personal growth, and strengthening family engagement
After-School Program
Student engagement to foster environmental stewardship, cultural awareness, and personal growth
Watershed Explorers
Learning opportunities for youth to connect with the natural environment, explore watersheds, and engage in environmental stewardship

Mario Ordonez-Calderon (pronouns NEED)
Co-Founder
Mario Ordonez-Calderon is a Navy Veteran, Indigenous Mayan, and Surfer
Inspired by the ocean’s power as a catalyst for interconnection with self and nature, Mario wanted to create a way to pass along the opportunity to experience the ocean and its benefits to future generations.
Kat Reynolds (pronouns NEED)
Co-Founder
Kat Reynolds passionate photographer exploring the concept of "relationship"
She is dedicated to shifting culture through storytelling and grassroots social and environmental work to help move people into a greater sense of awareness for our interdependence and the opportunity to give more than we take in order to collectively build a better tomorrow.
