Raveena to Perform at IE’s Upcoming Earth Sessions, in Partnership With 5 Media
OCTOBER 5, 2022 – United States – On October 16, Intersectional Environmentalist (IE), in partnership with The Eyes & Ears Agency and 5 Media, will launch the sixth event from a series of community-driven environmental justice concerts, known as Earth Sessions. These intimate events combine art with activism, in order to hold space and create accessible, joyful, and educational experiences for people with intersectional identities to find community and learn about climate justice.
The upcoming Earth Sessions event is sponsored by 5 Media, hosted at Gray Area, and will feature an acoustic performance and meditation led by artist-activist, Raveena. Raveena recently announced a mutual aid hub, Aurora Loving Kindness Project, with a goal to center healing, wellness and investment for Black and Brown people through community programs such as meditations, grants, shops for donation, non-traditional forms of trade and collaborating with other programs. The Earth Sessions event will also feature a giveaway spotlighting environmental justice themed books, a panel discussion, and workshop to further build community amongst attendees.

The previous five sold-out Earth Sessions events invited artist-activists including Xiuhtezcatl, Bedouine, and Charlie Burg, and spotlighted BIPOC-led nonprofit organizations including The Hood Hikers, Harlem Grown, and Good Life Garden. In its inaugural year, Earth Sessions reached over 1M folks online and in person, and built long-lasting relationship with our partners and collaborators, Future Earth, Feels Like Floating, Audubon Center at Debs Park, and Patagonia.
