Airrion "Air" Copeland (He/Him), MBA, MFA, is the Executive Director of Intersectional Environmentalist, dedicated to creating a more inclusive environmental movement. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, media, and campaign strategy, Air brings a unique blend of strategic vision and creative storytelling to his work. He produced White Wash, an award-winning documentary exploring Black surfers’ history and race through the lens of the ocean.
Air serves on the National Board of Directors for the Surfrider Foundation and the Council of Save the Redwoods League. As a husband and father, he loves spending time with his family, surfing, practicing Ashtanga yoga, and exploring nature. He envisions Intersectional Environmentalist as a space for accessible resources and collective empowerment to create a better world for both people and the planet.
