Arielle V. King

Arielle V. King (she/they) is a strategist, event producer, and public speaker with a background in environmental law and sustainability. Through storytelling, she explores the intersections of climate, culture, and justice, using media, live experiences, and creative collaborations to make environmentalism more accessible and engaging. She is the host of The Joy Report, a podcast by Intersectional Environmentalist that highlights climate optimism and intersectional solutions, and has shared insights on global stages, from universities to Fortune 500 companies. As a writer, she contributes to conversations on environmental justice, culture, and policy. She has also produced and coordinated large-scale events, including climate summits and cultural activations.
Arielle has spent over half her life advocating for social and environmental issues at academic institutions, with community organizations, on stages across the US, and through the media. She holds a BA in Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Political Ecology. Her senior thesis focused on the Flint Water Crisis, examining environmental law, state-community relations, environmental racism, and the role of communities in responding to political neglect. This work led Arielle to pursue a Master’s in Environmental Law and Policy, as well as a law degree (JD), with a focus on civil rights and environmental justice, which she earned at the age of 23.
She is a proud member of the Board of Directors for Positive Tracks and the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), where she chairs the Impact Committee. Arielle lives in New York City with her partner and pet ball python.
