Zoë Temple

Board Member

Zoë (she/her/ella) is passionate about promoting environmental justice through education. Zoë holds a Bachelor's in Neurobiology, Psychology, and Spanish from UC Berkeley and a Master's in Education from Loyola Marymount University, informing her understanding of science communication and pedagogy. With five years of experience teaching Environmental Science and AP Environmental Science in a frontline community near downtown Los Angeles, Zoë believes that culturally relevant and experiential learning opportunities are most effective. Now, leading youth green workforce development programs across Los Angeles County, Zoë works to increase access to career pathways in environmental careers for young people from communities that are historically underrepresented in these fields. Underscoring all of Zoë's work is the belief in the power of youth as community leaders with the capacity and vision to create meaningful change towards environmental justice in their communities. On the weekends, you can find Zoë soaking up the sun, reading a book, or spending time with her two pets (her dog, Kuma, and her snake, Noodle).
