Board Member

Zanagee Artis (he/him) is a climate justice activist and author from Connecticut whose work centers on ending the era of fossil fuels. He currently serves as the Fossil Fuels Policy Advocate of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), where he leads advocacy against oil and gas leasing and drilling in the Arctic and in our oceans. He co-authored A Kids Book About Climate Change and is the co-host of the associated podcast, 1 Point 5: A Kids Podcast About Climate Justice.

Zanagee began his journey in climate advocacy in 2017 as a founder of the global youth-led climate justice organization Zero Hour, where he held leadership roles, including Executive Director, for nearly eight years.

Zanagee is a 2022 graduate of Brown University, and is now based in Washington, D.C.

Diandra is a Spanglish poet and writer. Her work trails emergent social and cultural narratives of belonging, healing and restoration through ancestry and environmental connection.
