Advancing Equity & Opportunity Collaborative (AEO) is a coalition of groups in the South working to identify and address the opportunities and threats associated with energy extraction, production and use in the region, and the related impacts on Black communities, communities of color and low-wealth communities.

The mission of Alabama Interfaith Power & Light (IPL) is to be faithful stewards of Creation by responding to Climate Change through the promotion of environmental justice, energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy from a faith perspective.

We work towards a Uniontown and Black Belt region where all people will unite to act in love for shared liberty and justice for all. We, the Freedom Fighters, based in Uniontown Alabama will demonstrate faith in action by embracing and encouraging solutions against all injustices.

We are dedicated to fostering and nurturing a vibrant community of women of color who share a passion for cycling. Our primary focus lies in promoting the joy of cycling, particularly among women and girls of color.

Reduce health and economic disparities and improve access to clean air, water, and soil in marginalized rural communities by influencing policy, inspiring innovation, catalyzing relevant research, and amplifying the voices of community leaders, all within the context of a changing climate.

Our mission is to enhance the health and wellbeing of Alabamians by reducing air pollution, advancing environmental justice, and promoting climate solutions through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

Gulf South for a Green New Deal (#GulfSouth4GND) is a regional formation of more than 350 organizations advancing long-existing work towards climate, racial, and economic justice in five states and one colonial territory across the Gulf South: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Puerto Rico. Rooted in bottom-up organizing and driven by frontline leadership, we move together on policy, regional action campaigns, and strategic communications. As the nation’s first formation advancing a regional vision for a just climate transition, we are committed to the realization of a uniquely Gulf South version of a Green New Deal that is anchored in the histories, realities, and power of the region.
