From Alaska to Arkansas, the Bronx to the border, people are coming together to confront the interlocking evils of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. We understand that as a nation we are at a critical juncture — that we need a movement that will shift the moral narrative, impact policies and elections at every level of government, and build lasting power for poor and impacted people

Our mission is to create an economically diverse community through environmental stewardship, community engagement, and economic development, ensuring sustainable transformation.

We are working to raise equity and increase participation in environmental quality and conservation efforts by empowering the Latino community and minorities to take action against environmental hazards affecting our community and reduce our carbon footprint. We pursue an equitable and sustainable environment by eliminating language and social barriers while advocating for the inclusion of our community in the transition to the clean energy economy and climate change adaptation.

Wisconsin Environmental Justice Infrastructure Initiative is changing the narrative by bringing together diverse grass roots groups, Black and other communities of color, to develop an innovative statewide Environmental Justice Initiative that is community-driven and equity-centered.

Wisconsin Green Muslims (formerly known as the Islamic Environmental Group of Wisconsin), a grassroots environmental justice group formed in 2005, intends to educate the Muslim community and the general public about the Islamic environmental justice teachings, to apply these teachings in daily life and to contribute to collaborations and coalitions working toward a just, healthy, peaceful and sustainable future.
