Advancing Equity & Opportunity Collaborative (AEO) is a coalition of groups in the South working to identify and address the opportunities and threats associated with energy extraction, production and use in the region, and the related impacts on Black communities, communities of color and low-wealth communities.

We envision an Appalachia with healthy ecosystems and resilient local economies that allow communities to thrive.

We are dedicated to fostering and nurturing a vibrant community of women of color who share a passion for cycling. Our primary focus lies in promoting the joy of cycling, particularly among women and girls of color.

Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is a statewide organization working for a new balance of power and a just society. As we work together we build our strength, individually and as a group, and we find solutions to real life problems. We use direct action to challenge – and change – unfair political, economic and social systems. Our membership is open to all people who are committed to equality, democracy and non-violent change.

We accomplish our objectives by engaging in research and public education; improving public access to information; encouraging community participation in environmental decision-making processes; and building consensus among affected peoples, governments, nonprofits and businesses.

KSEC works toward an ecologically sustainable future through the coalescence, empowerment, and organization of the student environmental movement.

Rubbertown Emergency ACTion (REACT) is a grassroots organization of residents living near or at the fence lines of a cluster of 11 chemical plants in Louisville commonly referred to as Rubbertown.

Reimagine Appalachia was born out of a broad recognition that the economy has not been working for most people and places in the Ohio River Valley. In response, a diverse set of economic, environmental and community leaders, and grassroots organizations, came together to find common ground and build the future we want to see—a 21st century economy that’s good for workers, communities, and the environment.

The Alliance for Appalachia promotes a healthy, just Appalachia by supporting our member organizations in communities impacted by destructive resource extraction.
